Australia Major Cities: Sydney (part 3)

Last city, Sydney

Time flies so fast especially when we actually enjoy our holiday time.
As a lot of people wrote travel guide better than me, I would want to share my short itinerary, at least for myself in case in I forget in the future.

Touched down at Sydney Airport, queued for taxi to go to downtown and checked in to hotel.
I recommend you to stay nearby downtown so it’s pretty easy to visit tourist attractions with walking.
After checked-in in the afternoon, I walked out to Darling Harbour to see the view at night. It was a beautiful night view about the landscape full of bright buildings.

The next day, we went to Sydney Opera House, by passing some places and architecture buildings: Hyde park, St. Mary Cathedral, Public Library, Mrs Macquarie's Chair. Estimate time to walk around these places are around 30 minutes. We went to Luna Park in the afternoon to see what's there, just because we could not see Luna Park inside Melbourne. To visit this area is free, you pay for what you want to try. Random: I just wonder, why the entrance gate feels so scary for me. I don't like clown though. So maybe that is the reason. what do you think?

Third day, it was kind of a relaxing day, we visited Maritime Museum for about an hour which located in Darling Harbour area, then we went to Sydney Fish Market to have seafood as lunch. I tried Doyles this time, because the other restaurant were too crowded. This one as well, but we managed to find seats. Try their fresh seafood, it is really delicious. It is always crowded with people in the restaurant. Be patient. After filled our stomach full, we were heading to Paddy's Market, by passing UTS building. Unique. Finally our last destination, Paddy's Market where you can buy souvenirs, clothes and other goods.

Another morning day, we went out early to visit Bare Island and Bondi Beach. We used Uber to save our time.

Try "deep fried in batter" for snack when you visit Bondi area, in Bondi Surf Seafoods. You can stroll around Bondi beach with smooth and white sand. There is also Bondi Skate Park for people to play skateboards.

Last day to go around Sydney city. I will miss to visit this city again. Actually we wanted to see manly beach yesterday but we did not have enough time. So we managed to see manly beach for short time before we went to Blue Mountains. Since we went there on Sunday by train/subway, using Opal Card on Sundays in any trains, buses, ferries, will cost you around AUD 2.50 all day. FLAT RATE. Wow!! so what I can suggest you, just put your furthest itinerary in Sydney on Sunday if you travel a week or when Sunday is included. You can save your transport money. Going to Manly Beach, we need to use ferries from Circular Quay area and you can see the view of Sydney Opera House and Sydney Harbour Bridge from different perspective. You can check the schedule first.

After reach to Manly wharf, just walk around 10 mins straight. An Uber driver from previous day told me that mostly local people go to Manly Beach than Bondi Beach because it is more peaceful there. We just visited Manly Beach for 30 minutes and we needed to rush back to continue our trip to Blue Mountains. We returned back and took train to Blue Mountains for about almost 3 hours.

Bus number to go to Blue Mountains is 682. Normally a lot of people will go there especially during the weekends. You can expect a lot of people visit Blue Mountains. You can see "Three Sisters" which is a famous  Aboriginal Legend (check here for details information). You also can hike to see closer through "Honeymoon Bridge". The estimate time for return trip by walking is about 20 minutes. The stairs are so steep and high, so be careful.

Finally in the morning we needed to check out early to go to airport by taxi.
Our journey to Australia major cities came to an end.
