Day 5, Went to Asahikawa from JR Sapporo Station at 9:30. You can go to the zoo by taking a bus from Asahikawa station. If you do not want, then you can continue to take local train to go to Asahikawa Ramen Village. However, if you want to taste the local ramen from Asahikawa that is more delicious than Ramen Village, please ask at tourist information counter and they will give you several options. I chose to try Tenkin Ramen about 20 mins walking from Asahikawa station. After that you can strolling around the city such as Tokiwa Park, 7-jo Green Belt , Heiwa Dori. Maybe not much to see for me. You also can rent a bicycle there and going around. Returned back via Furano Station, and had one hour waiting for our next train. I walked around Furano in that afternoon.       Day 6, I just planned t...

Hokkaido JR Pass Simple Itinerary in Summer (Part 1)

My journey took me to Hokkaido trip this time in summer. June. My base was staying in Sapporo only for 8 nights and 7 effective days for traveling around. Day 1. I took flight with ANA from Jakarta in the early morning and had a transit time in Haneda airport around 60-80 mins (supposed to be 80 mins, but my flight got a traffic congestion during take-off), and a crew was waiting there to help our connecting flight Haneda - Sapporo, because we needed to transfer from international to domestic terminal and also to re-check in our baggage after we pass the immigration. If you somehow wonder it’s enough to transfer, I said yes, because one of the staff said that too. They already manage the time schedule. So don’t worry, but also you have to rush (not running though). So after re-checked in, which is located just on your right side after you take out your luggage, they have domestic check-in counter and buses which will go to domestic terminal. Always check your ticket which ga...

Australia Major Cities: Sydney (part 3)

Last city, Sydney Time flies so fast especially when we actually enjoy our holiday time. As a lot of people wrote travel guide better than me, I would want to share my short itinerary, at least for myself in case in I forget in the future. Touched down at Sydney Airport, queued for taxi to go to downtown and checked in to hotel. I recommend you to stay nearby downtown so it’s pretty easy to visit tourist attractions with walking. After checked-in in the afternoon, I walked out to Darling Harbour to see the view at night. It was a beautiful night view about the landscape full of bright buildings.   The next day, we went to Sydney Opera House, by passing some places and architecture buildings: Hyde park, St. Mary Cathedral, Public Library, Mrs Macquarie's Chair. Estimate time to walk around these places are around 30 minutes. We went to Luna Park in the afternoon to see what's there, just because we could not see Luna Park inside Melbourne. To visit this area is free,...
