Apply Tourist Visa Canada for Indonesian during pandemic (Biometrics included) English Indonesian version

 Hello guys (I wrote this Journal in December 2021 but forgot to upload),

As there is a new regulation for Canada Visa in 2018, according to the VFS staff that I chitchat with, Canada put an additional Biometrics request for Canada Visa applicants. I made a Tourist Canada Visa back then in 2017, at that time, there was no biometrics needed and also I could send passport directly to Embassy.

For those who want to apply Canada Visa online and submit your passport through VFS (especially during this pandemic that only couriers are allowed, except taking Biometrics), you might want to check what I've experienced. I couldn't find at all about applying online tourist visa to Canada (through VFS agent for biometrics or drop your passport during this pandemic), hence I decided to share couple information that maybe can help you guys to apply visa online.

What you need to prepare:
Scanner/Camera, Passport, Digital Photo 35mmx45mm, itinerary/hotel bookings/flight ticket, old passport that recorded your travel history for 10 years, Debit/credit card/ money to pay your Visa 100CAD + 85CAD (for biometrics).

Visa is 100 CAD, while Biometrics fee is 85 CAD. You will be asked to take biometrics if you've never taken it before. Biometrics will be valid for 10 years, including if you decided to apply other permit in Canada (biometrics is still valid for PR, work permit application).

As we know the step is really clear and what you need is to follow the step:
1. Find your eligibility in HERE
2. Sign up an account in GC Key or this link (Please be advised that GC Key and IRCC will have the same function). Please remember the keywords that you made because you will be asked every time you login to your GC Key account.
3. To apply online by yourself, you need a scanner or a camera with good quality. Upload the documents that are written there.
4. Fill the documents IMM5257e and IMM5707e, 
a. after you have finished filling those files, click validate button.
b. You will see a barcode (only IMM5257) on the last page of your pdf.
c. Save the file. For the signature, no need to sign. (No Need to sign, No need to print out to sign then scan again because you only apply Online). You will be asked for digital signature (by typing your name) later on.
5. Upload other documents. 
a. For travel history: you need to scan all visas and stamps in your passports for 10 years, then you need to make the scan files or photos into 1 pdf files only.

If you have American Visa, scan or take photo of it and put it on the top of your pdf file. It will make easier to get Canadian tourist visa (Many people said that).
b. Passport: Scan or take photo for your front passport clearly

c. Proof of financial: Your bank statement for the past 4 months/ your supporter's bank statement. Please compile it into 1 PDF.

d. Digital Photo: Provide a recent digital file that size 35mmx45mm that not more than 6 months.
e. Purpose of travel: You can upload the itinerary / hotel  bookings/ flight ticket.
6. Final Step: Pay online 100CAD.
7. After payment, you will need to type your name as a signature for your online application.
8. You will be given the update through your e-mail. 

9. In my case, I need to give Biometrics, so I need to make another payment of 85CAD and they will send you a Biometrics Collection Letter. You need to go to VFS website to make an appointment for Biometrics enrollment. Biometrics at VFS. 
After a payment, you will be able to make an appointment for Biometrics enrolment. Bring your documents with you and also reach at VFS 20 mins before your appointment. When you are done, you only need to go home and wait updates in your email.
10. They will inform you if your Visa is approved and will give you an "Original Passport Request" letter. You need to submit your passport to VFS with the documents that are needed.

How? (during pandemic) Email VFS: info.caid@vfshelpline.com

 1. If you prefer one way or 2-way courier service, please email VFS that you need to drop your passport and wish to use their services. They will attach the PDF files that you need to submit together along with your passport.

2. Check the  VFS service fees, pay the exact amount that you want to use. If you are unsure about the payment (if you overpaid, they can't refund), just email VFS to ask the price that you need to pay if you wish to use some of their services.

Saya tidak banyak menemukan informasi tentang apply visa turis Kanada via online di masa pandemic ini. Biasanya orang lain mengajukan aplikasi lewat agen resmi yang ditunjuk Kanada, yakni: VFS agen. Menurut aturan Canada terbaru sejak 2018, 

Cara-caranya (dibaca pelan-pelan ya):
1.  Isi ini dulu biar tahu bisa apply ga klik disini
2. Buat account GC-key di GC Key atau ini.
Mesti hafalin security questions dan jawabannya yang kalian tulis, tiap login akan ditanya kembali.
3. Yang diperluin untuk ngajuin aplikasi online itu scanner atau kamera (kualitas nya yang bagus ya). Saya karena ga ada scanner jadi pake kamera hape
4. Download dan Isi dokumen IMM5257e dan IMM5707e

a. kalau sudah selesai, klik tombol "validate", lalu akan muncul gambar barcode di halaman terakhir.

b. Untuk signature nya, biarin aja kosong, ga usah di print dan di scan lagi. Setelah ada barcode, jangan lupa di save untuk di upload.

5. Upload dokumen lainnya

a. Travel history: semua visa dan stempel di dalam paspor dalam 10 tahun. File scan atau foto harus dijadiin 1 file pdf ya, karena upload dokumen cuma bisa 1 aja per bagian. Kalau ada visa Amerika, di taruh paling atas (Niscaya akan lebih mudah dapat visa Kanada katanya orang-orang).
b. Passport: scan atau foto bagian depan pasport kalian yang masih berlaku (minimal 1 tahun lebih baik, karena visa Kanada berlaku sesuai umur paspor kalian, jadi sayang kalau cuma berlaku 6-8 bulan)
c. Proof of financial: bukti rekening koran atau tabungan selama 4 bulan terakhir. Surat referensi kalau ga ada juga ga apa, tapi lebih bagus kalau ada. (Kalau saya, ga pake referensi bank karena malas ngurusnya *alesan*)
Kalau di sponsorin orang tua, jangan lupa untuk scan surat sponsor orang tua yang digabung sama rekening tabungan selama 4 bulan. (inget ya, dijadiin 1 file).
d. Digital photo: Pergi ke tempat foto studio buat ambil foto terbaru visa ukuran 35mmx45mm. Jangan pake foto selfie yah. Ga perlu cetak foto, perlu digital aja dan tidak lebih dari 6 bulan terakhir.
e. Purpose of travel: tujuan ke sana itu untuk apa. Kalau mau jalan-jalan, buat aja rencana perjalanan nya. Siapin tiket pesawat atau booking hotel juga kalau ada.

6. Bayar 100CAD

7. Setelah bayar, nanti akan di minta signature berupa ketik nama nya biar SAH.

8. Update bakal dikirim lewat e-mail yang kalian daftarin di GC-Key.
